Frequently Asked Questions about Birth Classes
-
Yes! Birth classes help you and your partner know what to expect during labor, birth, and postpartum. The information you learn in classes will be beneficial to you for years to come! Taking a birth class can help you be more confident in your choices, teach you that you have a voice in your birth, and will help you and your partner work together as a team to bring your child into the world.
-
My classes range from 4 hours to 10 weeks. Ideally, you would register for a birth class around 23-28 weeks. Classes are planned months in advanced and are offered quite frequently. I can help you find a class that is right for you.
-
I teach classes at two locations. The North Arlington location is Evergreen Bilingual Learning Center (BLC) at 1101 W Lamar Blvd, Arlington, TX 76012. The South Arlington location is Evergreen BLC located at 5031 Mansfield Rd, Arlington, TX 76017.
Classes are taught in English.
Fun fact, my children have attended Evergreen and loved it! Although we are not affiliated, I’m proud to have their support to offer a safe and welcoming classroom space for our community.

-
Although I am offering classes at a childcare center, childcare will not be available. Please find alternate childcare for your other children so that you can focus on learning as much as possible in our class.
If you are interested in taking a class to prepare siblings for birth, I do offer private Sibling Classes. Please contact me if interested. -
Congrats! You will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours of registering for a class. It contains information regarding your $50 deposit for class materials, paying the balance, what to expect, our schedule & location of class, and how to prepare for the first day of class.
-
I require a $50 deposit to hold your spot in the class and to pre-order your student workbook. This deposit is applied to the total cost of the class. The remainder is due before the start of the first class. Payment can be sent via Cash App, Venmo, or PayPal.
-
It depends on the class! My capacity is 10 couples, or 24 people, per class. The best part of doing an in-person class is the community and support you’ll receive. You’ll gain new perspectives, ask hard questions, and maybe even make friends with others who are going through the same stage of life as you. Every couple’s birth plan and story will be different, which is so rewarding for me to see as an educator!
-
Private classes are a great option! I can teach any class or workshop in the privacy of your own home. Contact me to get it scheduled!
Virtual/hybrid options are also available for the Comprehensive Series, Hospital Series, and Home/Birth Center Series. Hybrid is also available for the Postpartum Workshop and Breastfeeding Class.
Hybrid class structure includes professionally filmed classes with closed captioning, plus a weekly check in meeting with me virtually (Google Meets or Zoom). You will still receive a student workbook that will be mailed to you.
